What do the dues cover?
Much of the
Association dues goes toward the administration of an
organization with over 20,000 members! The Association Team is always
working to find sponsorship and benefit packages for the members. They
support chapter and sectional leaders through online resources and
leadership training. We, also, offer the Golf Life Management System through
which members can track their games, communicate with other players, and
receive a USGA Handicap
A portion of
the above amounts are sent back to the local chapter for our administrative
expenses and programs.

Do I have to be a good player to join EWGA?
No, you do not
have to be a good player to join EWGA. In fact, many of our members
are new, inexperienced golfers who have improved since joining. If you
have a desire to learn the skills and the "spirit of the game", you are
welcome. We will offer a series of "Getting Started" lessons and a new
golfers league this season.

Will better golfers be upset when I start
playing?
All of our
membership have started as new golfers and understand what it is like to be a
new golfer. Our Chapter tries to provide an environment where women
can learn to play with acceptance. We provide affordable clinics for
those who want to improve their skills. "The Spirit of the Game"
(rules & etiquette) are learned by all of us every day. We ask that
you come ready to learn to be a better golfer.
How does EWGA benefit
experienced players?
We have
activities to suit every skill level.
-
Our Monday
league at Roses Run and Thursday league at Fox Den offer challenges for
experienced golfers.
-
We host the
largest women's amateur competition, the EWGA Championship Series, which
begins at the chapter level and culminates with a final competition against
players from across the country and Canada.
-
Our two
weekend traveling leagues play 18-hole rounds at a variety of challenging
courses.
-
There are,
also, opportunities to golf across the country with other chapters plus you
will receive discounts at many resorts and golf schools.
